Not knowing where to take a baby rhino, Hulme decided to visit one of the most welcoming people he knows, Mrs. Whittall. The woman and her family immediately offered to take Jimmy in and raise the orphan in their guest house.
Just wonderful what she and her family have done to save all types of animals. I have the greatest respect for them. If only humans were as nice as animals
Having issues posting the relevant link. For those interested in Jimmy's story, you will find it and much more on 'The Borderline Walk' page, Facebook.
For the information of those of you who have so much 'wildlife experience' and who have referred to the Whittalls as dumb or stupid, Anne Whittall has raised hundreds of orphan wild animals and successfully rehabilitated the vast majority back to the bush, including lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, kudu, eland, bushbuck, waterbuck, you name it....Anne and my mother saved hundreds, nay thousands of animals during the 91/92 drought alone. This is the real world, enjoy the glimpse. The Daily Mail article was written out of context - as if Jimmy is still a youngster - and so I forgive your clueless opinions, but maybe you should do some research before jumping to misinformed conclusions. Jimmy the rhino is all over the internet, I am the guy who found him back in 2007 - he is now a mature bull and left home ages ago. Read about him here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150416284633646.404886.613348645&type=3 Good day, David Hulme
i can not wait for the story where one of the kids are impaled by it's horn. it is amazing the human race has made it this far with dummies like this around.
agree with MWARE...stupidity at its best !!! wait until the cute baby rhino playfully steps on someone's femur or skull ...put the beast where it belongs: the jungle or a zoo.
great idea until this wild animal turns on you or your kids!!!!!! It will happen I have dealt with wild animals personally. My Ex-wife got stitches twice from one of my parrots hope you know the risk. I know your thinking he or she will never hurt us yes they will and it's not their fault. I have other animals that I won't go into detail and I carry a gun incase there is an issue. The only animal that is domesticated is the dog period!!!! Even dogs can bite or kill their owners
