Ram on the Run in Iowa
the daily dish
We're used to seeing Dodge Rams on the road, but how about real rams? According to KCRG, Iowa cops spent the day chasing a runaway ram around the streets.
The ram was spotted by drivers in the morning and police were soon on the animal's fluffy tail. The ram didn't go quietly. Instead of turning himself in, the farm animal ran around town, hitting police cars whenever authorities tried to corral him.
At 150 pounds, the ram proved to be a difficult collar. Eventually, several officers were able to wrestle the animal to the ground and carefully bring it into custody. The ram's keeper was later located. The man says he was looking after the animal for a friend. After being cited for keeping an animal that large, the owner agreed to move the ram to a more isolated area.
