Hey, over here! According to the Daily Mail U.K., a group of whale watchers missed a picture perfect moment because they were all looking the wrong way.

One might think it would be hard to miss a 45-foot humpback surge, but somehow the extraordinary event was missed by a boat of people. This tour was cruising along the Cork coast of Ireland to get a look at the whales who have recently made the area home.

Five humpbacks have been spending time in a harbor area, attracting an increasing number of tourists looking for close encounters with the creatures. The whales are visiting the area to feast on the plentiful amount of herring.

The whales' activity attracted other animals, too. Fin whales and dolphins have also been spotted in the same space. These unexpected visitors have led to a longer season for most whale-watching guides.

"I would normally be operating until the end of November, but I'll keep going while the whales are there," Nic Slocum, who runs Whale Watch West Cork, told the Daily Mail U.K. "Although they can be seen from the shore, there's been a big demand from tourists to go out in a boat to look at them. It's been great for business."

Guides are unsure of how long the whales will stay in the area. For now, there is enough herring to keep the animals interested, but the whales could move on at any moment.

It is clear that the whales are having a good time on their vacation to Ireland. Photographers have captured the creatures playing as a group. Experts think the animals all came from the same pod and are familiar with one another.

"They have been bubble feeding for the past two weeks — using bubbles from their blow holes to push fish to the surface — and they have been tail slapping and seeming to play with one another," lifeboat man Youen Jacob told the Daily Mail U.K. "They looked like they were enjoying themselves, as well, blocking each other and breaching out of the water."

It was Jacob who captured the picture of the majestic humpback being accidentally ignored by a whale-watching group. The man said he photographed the massive creature breaching the water, and noticed later that NONE of the folks in the photo caught the action.

The TV show Whale Wars is awesome! Watch Steve Irwin fight off the Japanese whaling fleet every year!

I cheer for the Japanese. Irwin does dangerous, illegal and immoral things to fishermen just trying to do their jobs. the fact that they haven't attacked the Bob Barker with military force show the Japanese have more patience than America would.

The Steve Irwin crew…"Immoral”? Reality check, aisle 2. Have you got some Tokyo Rose subliminal message playing on your IPod made by the Japanese Whaling industry? They're butchers, if you need proof, watch a video about Shark-Finning, the barbaric behavior of slicing the dorsal fin off a live shark the helpless animal then sinks to the bottom and drowns, or gets mauled by other sharks, unable to swim. All so your “oppressed” Japanese Fishing conglomerates can make hundreds of millions selling Shark Fin Soup or it’s ground into a powder to help the not-so-well-endowed Japanese men be more viral (a total myth of course). Bet you rooted for the Soviet Men’s All Star Hockey team when the USA college kids beat them in the ’80 Olympics.

iIrvin is doing a lot of good , to begin with the japs are lying their to their teeth , for one they claim to be harvesting wales for research when it is actually to produce cosmetic , same for the sharks and other fish they have fished to the brink of extinction in chili and now north American, by passing international fishing laws , while American fishing boat stay in port the japs and Korean operate
in total impunity. get the fact before posting stupidity
