Grumpy Cat Is New Animal Meme Sensation

This unhappy-looking cat is named Tardar Sauce. Aside from the fact that "Tard" (as she is known, for short) has a permanently grumpy mug, little is know about the adorable, frustrated feline. 

The original Reddit poster, Cataliades, said that Tard was rescued by the Redditor's family. The hard-luck cat has dwarfism and other genetic defects due to reckless inbreeding by breeders. 

Tardar Sauce has been working her way through the Web, thanks to a series of photos posted on Reddit and a few YouTube videos. We wish this kitty the best of luck with her newfound fame — clearly she has a bright future.

The mystery surrounding Tard hasn't stopped users from giving her a voice. "Grumpy Cat" is becoming the new animal meme of the moment, with text like, "I tried to sits. It didn't fits."
