Allen was able to take a few shots in the second it took for the shark to jump up and then quickly disappear back into the water.
Now, if only it had lasers,,,
That is so cool I did not know that they can jump lol. I'm 14
I work for a company that represents the high speed digital cameras used for Shark Week and other productions. These images are completely real. I've seen hours of slow motion footage we've captured of sharks breaching and attacking just like this. The most popular spot for this type of shark footage is off the Cape in South Africa. I'm told that the sharks appear to actually enjoy the activity -- it is a form of play. We recently helped National Geographic shoot slow motion of a Cheetah running at full bore. Animals at their physical finest are an amazing sight.Mitch GrossApplications SpecialistAbelCine NY
All this mighty power, all this fierce energy, just for a rubber seal?No wonder it's so hard to convince the shark that you're not bleeding!

i agree that it was probably harmful to feed it a rubber seal....who thought that was a good idea? i mean, i know sharks end up consuming a BUNCH of waste products on accident, but isn't that harmful?? and there's a marked difference when you purposely throw out a rubber bait with the intention of the shark taking it below the surface. hopefully it spit it out but of course there's no proof of that.
btm4500n,Really Dude you need to get a life, not an ideology. Just try and go with the flow, enjoy the ride. It's a lot better that way... and a lot more real...
So the sharks jet ski breaks down and he takes it to the mechanic. The mechanic tells the shark he will take a look at it but it will take time.So the shark heads out to Carvel then goes back to talk to the mechanic. The machanic looks up at the shark and say's "It look's like you blew a seal"The shark wipes his mouth and said "no.NO it's only ice cream"Da Dum Dum
I too saw this on "Shark Week". It's real, not photoshopped. The decoy seal however, did not survive. The shark desimated it.
