Meet the savannah's biggest diva. According to Daily Mail U.K., a cheetah recently jumped up on a safari vehicle and posed for pictures.
-
Big-game watchers were hoping to spot wild animals on their visit to Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve, but they didn't expect this photo opportunity. The cheetah jumped on one of the reserve's 4x4s and settled in for a sitting session.
-
Onlookers were worried the big cat would try to intimidate or threaten the people inside the car. Instead, the cheetah decided to vogue it up, offering onlookers a series of stunning poses.
-
Photographers on the trip could not believe their luck, and quickly started taking careful photos of the animal through the sun roof. After several minutes, the cheetah jumped to the roof of another 4x4 to continue the show.
-
"l was taking photos of a cheetah and her cub when she started getting very close to our vehicle. Within a second, she had jumped on to the roof which was totally open," amateur photographer Dr. Serhat Demiroglu told the Daily Mail U.K. "l couldn't do anything for the first minutes as it felt like a bit of a dream."
-
Other riders said the cheetah was so close that they could feel the animal's breath. The driver of the vehicle was also amazed, saying he had never seen anything like the calm and collected cheetah in over 10 years.
-
After watching this friendly and photogenic display, visitors to the reserve weren't surprised to hear that some cheetahs were kept as pets by the Ancient Egyptians.

This camera-loving animal remained untamed, eventually leaving the 4x4s and moving back into the reserve. Maybe next time she will appear in costume for tourists to "ooh" and "ahh" over.
