Though I really can't stand to watch that show, I think Alana has the right to name her pet chicken anything she wants. PETA needs to mind their own business and leave this girl alone. Go pick on someone your own size.

Every body gets rid of their pets for different reasons. Alana cried her little heart out because she had to give Glitzy away. I t would be different if she showed no emotion but she cried when they took her away the first time and the second time when they had to take her back to the farm after they brought her to the pageant because Alana won. So i don't think it was just that easy to give away a pet .
November 16 2012 at 10:49 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI think it is wonderful to name a pet no matter what it is. My children never have eaten a pet once it is named. Naming something makes it personal, and I have had them even burry a inaddimant object as well as a live one, because when you name it, it becomes personal, and your best friend. If someone else names it, well it still can be your friend, but just not as personal. Have you eaten anything your have named and been around for years? I had one carry a piece of Blankee through collage and got caught in his luggage one time.
November 16 2012 at 5:28 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replythe thing that bothers me is the way they treat animals. Like they are disposable. What are they going to do if the bird does something they don't like or whatever, and they decide to get rid of it. Are they going to kill it to eat? And this has nothing to do with weight or even the name. Just the fact how easy it seems to them to get rid of pets.
