Although Pueblo Zoo's sloths hugs are slow, they sure are sweet! 

WOBBLY WALK 

Jasiri the giraffe loses her balance as she bends down for a treat at Reid Park Zoo. 

DARLING DOLPHIN BIRTH 

Cascade, a 29-year-old Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, gave birth to a calf at SeaWorld San Diego in San Diego, California. The 30-pound calf is the 78th dolphin born at the park.

SEA TURTLE SEASON 

Rescuers at New England Aquarium are treating the first rescued sea turtles of the season, with more expected this afternoon.

SLEEPLESS SWEETHEARTS  

Dublin Zoo has conducted sleep pattern studies on their elephants that shows they typically sleep for around 4 to 4.5 hours each night — unfortunately, due to their weight, they won't sleep continuously for long periods!

ADORABLE OUTCAST 

A gray flamingo chick stands in the pond at Reid Park Zoo, staring at the rest of the pink flamingos. 

CAPYBARA CUTIES 

Zookeepers at Chester Zoo have given names to their one-month-old baby capybaras. The two boys are named Byron and Kosh, and their girl is named Sakai!

MALAYAN MARVELOUS 

Meet Malayan tapir calf Dumadi! He was born in September at Denver Zoo’s new Toyota Elephant Passage exhibit. So cute!

An anoa calf snuggles close to its mother inside their enclosure at Zoo Berlin. 

MANATEE ON THE MOVE 

Wooten, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s 630-pound Florida manatee has arrived in Florida safe and sound! After arriving at the Cincinnati Zoo two years ago, Wooten is returning to the wild as part of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s Manatee Rescue Rehabilitation and Release Program.

WITTLE WOMBAT 

Brookfield Zoo recently welcomed a new Southern hairy-nosed wombat into their family. These adorable creatures are rather rare — there are only 10 in four North American zoos.

ALIEN AQUARIUM 

Is this a visitor from another planet? Nope! It's one of Monterey Bay Aquarium's bigfin reef squids! 

LITTLE AND BIG 

There’s a new baby anteater nosing around in Orange County at the Santa Ana Zoo in Prentice Park. 

POLAR BEAR FOR PREZ 

Ahpun, a female polar bear, is seen through the bars of her cage at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage. The 14-year-old bear was elected "president" of the zoo Tuesday in a fundraiser that matched the timing of the U.S. presidential race. She defeated Denali, a gray wolf, and write-in candidate Yertle, an alpaca.

CROC CAGE 

A five-and-a-half-foot crocodile was captured in the northern Gaza Strip after it escaped the nearby zoo two years ago. 

RECOVERING KOALA 

A young koala was admitted to the hospital at Australia Zoo after suffering from injuries sustained in a vicious attack by five dogs near Kallangur. Feel better, little guy!

CUTE COMMUTE 

Kitoto, a two-year-old female giraffe, arrives in a trailer at Taronga zoo in Sydney. Kitoto will share an exhibit with a male and two female giraffes at the zoo.

CHEETAH CATNAP 

Savanna, a four-month-old cheetah from Cincinnati Zoo, settles in at her hotel suite, prepping for her big debut on NBC's "Today Show" this week.

SHEEP SNACK

WELCOME BABY RHINO

On November 3, a bouncing bundle of joy was delivered at Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands! Indian rhino mom Namaste gave birth to an adorable female calf. The yet-to-be-named baby rhino was walking and drinking milk within 30 minutes of her birth! 

LAMBOUFLAGE 

Dorris the ouessant lamb attempts to conquer the art of camouflage. Can anybody see Dorris?

SKINNY FAT 

Veterinarian Brittney Barton holds up Skinny the cat at East Lake Pet Orphanage. The overweight stray has slimmed down to 37 pounds. He is still too big to be adopted, but is on his way to a healthy weight. 

PEEK-A-BOO 

A tapir baby peeks between his mother's legs at Prague Zoo. 

ADORBS AMBASSADOR 

Richie the wonder ringtail possum has graduated from training and is going to live at Taronga Zoo’s Education Center as an ambassador for his species. 

SUNDZU SNOOZE

Sundzu the elephant uses the exhibit maintenance as an opportunity to sleep in at Reid Park Zoo. Their webcam caught him in his favorite soft sand spot in the barn.

BONGO BABY 

There is a new bongo baby at Burgers' zoo! He is one of a few male bongos at the zoo and will be joining a female-heavy family. 

BALI'S NEW DIGS 

Chester Zoo's keepers moved Bali, a giant 23-foot-long reticulated python, into her newly spruced-up exhibit this morning. 

PRECIOUS PANDA UPDATE 

San Diego Zookeeper Liz Simmons carries out their youngest giant panda for his weekly exam. The super cute cub continues to get bigger and heavier.

The Alma Park Zoo's three Tasmanian devil babies have begun to venture outside of their den with their mother. Another special fact about the trio: Instead of a commonly found white band across their chests, the girls are all black, all over.

EXOTIC ANIMAL BAN 

Cyndi Huntsman holds a baby zebra at her Stump Hill Farm in Massillon, Ohio. Huntsman is one of four owners of exotic animals in Ohio suing the state’s agriculture department and its director over a new law regulating wildlife.

MANATEE AWARENESS MONTH 

November is Manatee Awareness Month! The newest patient at Tampa Lowry Zoo's manatee hospital arrived after suffering from red tide exposure. Treatment includes a floatation device, shallow water and close supervision to prevent drowning. 

AFTERNOON STROLL 

Twycross Zoo's tiny tapir walks across its enclosure, enjoying the afternoon sun. 

BABY BACKPACK 

Silver monkey father Silvio carries his two four-week-old babies on his back at Friedrichsfelde Zoo in Berlin.

WINGED TRADITION

A Japanese Nasu Animal Kingdom handler holds a hawk during the demonstration of traditional Japanese falconry at Himeji Castle in Himeji, Japan. A demonstration of this kind has not been held at the castle since the samurai era.
