Nearly 40 percent of Atlantic salmon are being killed by a parasite, reports the Daily Mail.

The parasitic salmon louse spreads within fish populations and eats their flesh. The researchers, from New Zealand, studied thousands of tagged baby salmon released into the sea, half treated with parasiticide and half not.
