Sherman, a male red panda cub born in June, has been difficult to spot due to all the leaves in his wooded surroundings, but can finally be seen in his habitat across from the tigers at the Detroit Zoo.

MEET THE KITTENS 

Serval kittens born at the Boise Zoo last Thursday will be on display in their incubator starting today! 

PARROT PUMPKIN 

Lorikeets pull treats from a carved pumpkin during an enrichment program at the Oklahoma City Zoo in Oklahoma City.

SLEEPY SWEETHEART 

A six-month-old arctic fox yawns while napping with his littermate in their enclosure at the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts. 

PRIZED FROG

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is home to the world's largest captive bred population of Panamanian golden frogs, extinct in the wild.

FLY AWAY 

Two of Blackpool Zoo's hand-reared flamingo chicks can now be seen out by the lake. 

BON VOYAGE

Wooten, the Cincinnati Zoo's 630-pound Florida manatee, will be returning to the wild as part of the US Fish & Wildlife Service’s Manatee Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release Program. 

BAT CRAZY FOR APPLES

A bat flies away after snatching a juicy apple from the top of a tree. Well done, bat! 

STRANGE SPECIES 

Have you ever seen an Argonaut Octopus before? The baseball-sized animal is making herself at home at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, bobbing up and down in her tank.

LUCKY MONKEY 

Just as San Francisco Zoo's baby Francois langur was born, their beloved Giants started winning against the Reds and emerged victorious. Coincidence? Maybe not!

Chester Zoo recently welcomed three newborn baby capybaras. 

CUTE CUDDLER 

A newborn western lowland gorilla cuddles with its mother, Bana, at Lincoln Park Zoo. The baby's sex is still unknown, but the unnamed newborn appears to be doing well!

A chevrotain, also known as a mouse deer, feeds in its enclosure at Zurich Zoo in Switzerland.

Two black-cheeked lovebird chicks have hatched at Drusillas Park in the U.K., surprising zookeepers who did not expect an arrival until Spring.

A baby otter born in August has been spotted out of the den for the first time at Drusillas Park Zoo, taking a good look at the world outside.

Zookeepers at BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo prepared a bridge of hay and alfalfa as enrichment for their Kirk's Dik Diks to enjoy. 

GARDEN HUNTER 

A Sand Goanna, also called Gould's monitor, is seen in the Schonbrunn Zoo in the gardens in Vienna sticking out its forked tongue. It does this when hunting and searching for olfactory clues.

POLICE DOG KISSES 

A police dog-handler of a canine unit receives a big kiss from a police dog during training near the French Gendarmerie Canine National Training Centre in Gramat, France. 

TURTLE SURVIVAL 

A gorgeous turtle chick was successfully bred by the Prague Zoo. The discovery may decide on the survival of these turtles. 

THAT'S A GOOD BOY

A wolf boops his pal on the head to reward him for being such a good friend. 

MIRACLE BABY

A seven-and-a-half month old elephant calf named Moses walks through a home past pet dogs in Lilongwe, Malawi. Moses was found alone and close to death in the Vwaza Wildlife Reserve. He has been adopted by the Jumbo Foundation where he is being cared for and raised by humans.

CUTE CHECK 

Zookeepers carry out a health check on a 10-day-old Rothschild Giraffe calf in its enclosure at Chester Zoo. 

PUDU PRECIOUS

Detroit Zoo's latest newborn addition comes in the form of an adorable pudu! We love his furry little ears.

Toronto Zoo's polar bear, Hudson, celebrates his first birthday with a huge bash and a delicious cake.

GOLDEN MITTS 

Santa Ana Zoo's red-handed tamarins are native to the rainforest, living in trees with small crowns found in Northern Brazil, Guyana, French Guiana, and Surinam. They are excellent jumpers and can jump from tree to tree or tree to ground. Some can leap 65 feet to the ground with no risk of injury.

This adorable baby giant anteater was born on September 19. He and his mother are doing great. The mom, Emilia, has had two births previously, making this pup her third.

A cute pooch named Slugo struts along in a Florida Dogtoberfest fundraiser walk wearing a frog costume. His dad, Dalton Nelson, must be proud!

SEA LIONS SET FREE

Sea lions Felix and Flynn sit in an enclosure before  being let go into the ocean in Callao, Peru. For a month they were being rehabilitated after being found injured on two different beaches along Peru's coast. Now, they are free. Hooray, little sea lions!

HERE COMES THE SUN

A cute lemur enjoys some sunshine on a nice fall day at the Duke Lemur Center.

PECCARY PIGGIES

Who would have thought that these cute peccary pigs at Zoo Berlin use the gnashing of their teeth as a threat? Regardless, they are quite adorable. Peccaries are not real pigs, but rather a pig-like mammal.

OH MY OTTER!

These four little otter youngsters love galavanting   around the Perth Zoo exhibit with their parents. They are growing quite fast. 

WORK IT, 'LIL GIRAFFE
