According to CBS, Baxter, a golden retriever who was trapped with his dog brother, Bailey, in the Cape Cod woods was able to find his way back home to his owner -- and lead her back to his sibling.

Baxter and Bailey had been missing for two weeks after getting loose from their leashes that were tied together in front of owner Penny Blackwell's house in Sandwich, Mass.

Blackwell did everything she could to find her dogs. She put up flyers and asked for help from her Facebook community. Still, no word. But just when she began to lose hope, she received a text message from a friend. One of the dogs had been found near their home. When Blackwell was reunited with Baxter, he seemed antsy.

"Baxter kind of led me off the side through the woods. I had twigs in my eyes and leaves in my hair," Blackwell said. Sure enough, Baxter led Blackwell right to Bailey. Bailey's leash had become entangled among the bushes, permitting him from getting away.

The dogs are in good health and Blackwell is beyond ecstatic to have her hero and survivor pups back at home.
