At Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Old Windsor, U.K., two lonely baby animals have adopted each other. They have become such close friends that they treat each other like sisters.
-
The kitten, named Kitty, was found abandoned in a garden when she was only one day old. Buttons, the puppy, was the runt of her litter, and, unfortunately, was rejected by her mother.
-
Normally, the two of them would be hand-reared separately ... but because of their very young ages, the center decided to try raising them together.
-
Sascha Taylor, a veterinary nurse at Battersea, says, "Luckily, it's paid off, as they adore being with each other and do everything together - it's really very sweet."
-
Kitty and Buttons were introduced to each other when they were two weeks old; they are now four weeks old and inseparable -- even eating, sleeping, and playing together.
-
The animal home is hoping to rehome both Kitty and Buttons into the same forever home, once they're older, so that they can stay friends for life.
-
If you live near London and think that you could be a good companion for Buttons and Kitty, contact Battersea!

October 14 2012 at 8:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThey are cute ;they're just baby's ! In time they will hopefully grow up . Then the cat will have little to do with the dog & the dog will be heart broke . I seen it happen with my cats(2) & dog .
October 13 2012 at 7:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMaybe being their is only one of each they may stay close . But cats have aloof ways that don't fit with a dog's forgiving personality . Just saying . :~)
Please someone near there adopt them together. I would, but Texas is pretty far away...
