Jimmy Fallon's New Puppy Makes 'Late Night' Debut
the daily dish
Gary the Labrador puppy was bound to be a star from the first day he wagged his way into Jimmy Fallon's life. The late-night TV host recently Instagrammed a photo of his new furry family member. However, the pup did not make his TV debut until last night when Fallon had Cesar Millan on the show. Gary was lucky to have a one-on-one session with the Dog Whisperer himself. Watch to see what happened between Gary, Fallon and Millan!

October 10 2012 at 10:49 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThat is just an uneducated remark. Why would you ever spend thousands on a shelter animal? Most come with vaccinations and spay/neutering done. You WILL spend much more on purebred animal.
October 11 2012 at 1:40 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThere are many other reasons why some people choose to purchase from a breeder rather than adopt. Behavioral issues, better documented history of disease/illnesses, plain-old preferences, etc. Yes, adopting is more humane, but it's not for everyone. I wish you would stop vilifying people who choose to purchase from a breeder over adoption.

October 10 2012 at 10:31 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYes. The dog is adorable. I am SO upset that everyone still does not get the fact that if we stop purchasing animals from breeders THEY WILL QUIT BREEDING!! Rescue a puppy and please spay and neuter to prevent the overpopulation of these poor animals! I have four rescues and they are just as beautiful and sweet as any purebred. Like Cesar said millions of animals are being put to sleep because of overpopulation and not enough shelter space. They need us to be responsible pet owners!
October 10 2012 at 9:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhat I don't get is why people have to be so up in arms about this. Some people want to buy from breeder, not all breeders are evil and abusive. There are very many breeders that love their animals and do everything they can for their animals and to make sure that the puppies go to an amazing home. You can adopt, but for all that is holy let people buy from breeders.
October 10 2012 at 9:39 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNo on is saying that breeders are bad. However, it is unnecessary to breed more animals when there are millions who need home.

October 10 2012 at 9:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyCesar Milan is such a common sense guy and so great with dogs. I always felt I was just always lucky with my dogs, but now I know it was partly luck and partly my attitude of being a calm bossy person! That attitude worked with raising 4 children and it works with my dogs too!
October 10 2012 at 7:04 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe story says she is a Labrador retriever; she's not, she's a golden retriever. These are two totally different breeds. She's a beautiful pup!
October 10 2012 at 6:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyFallons' obviously smitten w/ his new pup, he's been talking about her for a couple of weeks. She is a real sweetie pie.
October 10 2012 at 5:47 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyA female puppy and he named her "Gary"? Doesn't he know that Gary is a male name?
October 10 2012 at 5:13 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyAnd? It's his dog--he can name her whatever he wants. And I'm pretty sure the puppy herself can care less what her name is--the only thing that matters is that she's being well-raised and cared for.
October 11 2012 at 2:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyone of the best things that has happened to dogs and for dog owners - if more people were properly 'trained' maybe we wouldn't have some of the social problems we have today - would have loved to have had help from Cesar Milan when we had our dogs.
