Jess quickly picked up the tasks that Moorhead taught her. The Springer Spaniel showed a special knack for being able to fetch a variety of different objects when asked for them by name.

“I need every paw I can get. Jess picks up anything you ask her to and one day a hungry lamb clamped on to the full bottle she had in her mouth," Moorhead explained to The Mirror about how the canine got her baby-sitting duties.

The farmer admits that Jess' bottle service isn't perfect. Sometimes, while running from place to place, Jess ends up getting more milk on the ground than in the lambs' mouths.
