Hero Shark Guides Stranded Man to Rescue Boat

Sharks can be heroes too. According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, a man adrift in the Pacific Ocean for 15 weeks says a shark is responsible for his eventual rescue.
Toakai Teitoi flew to the Kiribati capital of Tarawa with his brother-in-law to be sworn in as a police officer. Teitoi and his relative decided to take a small motorboat back to their home island. The planned two-hour trip turned sour when the men fell asleep and found themselves adrift in the middle of the ocean upon waking.

Sadly, Teitoi's brother-in-law died after five weeks. Teitoi continued to live on provisions and water from rainfall. One day, while napping at sea, Teitoi awoke to something bumping his boat. When the man looked down, he realized a six-foot shark was circling his craft. Teitoi also noticed a boat in the distance and started waving frantically until the passengers spotted and rescued him.

"If that shark hadn't nudged me awake, the crew of the boat might have thought I wasn't in trouble and might have carried on sailing past me," Teitoi told the Daily Mail.
With all the trouble people are having with sharks, it's nice to see one offering a helping fin.
