According to ABC News, a woman accidentally packed her 14-month-old cat inside of her suitcase on a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Bob-bob the cat thankfully survived the 10-hour trip stowed away in his owner's suitcase.

When Ethel Maze opened the suitcase, she was shocked to find her pet cat laying inside. Maze was frightened that he had died. "I recognized it as a cat right away but I was afraid he'd died because he just laid there. I picked him up and said to my daughter, 'You'll never guess what. Bob-bob our cat is with us, in my suitcase.'"

Maze had no idea that her cat had climbed into the luggage because she was rushed the morning she left to catch her flight. "We have a young man who helps out and gets our luggage ready, and he said it looked like the suitcase was moving but he thought he was imagining things. We had been up all night getting ready so we thought nothing of it."

The luggage was not opened until 2:30 p.m., 10 hours after it had been zipped up. It was too early for Maze's party to check into their hotel, so they left their bags at the front desk.

When Bob-bob was finally taken out of the suitcase, he was still frightened. "He hid for about seven hours in our hotel room and only in the middle of the night came out and started licking us and purring," said Maze.

The Columbus airport reported that though its luggage checks can detect bombs, it is not built to find cat baggage.
