    This past Monday, Zoo Basel welcomed the arrival of a baby Indian rhino. The birth was so quick, keepers named the baby Jarj (Nepalese for "instantly"). The calf was strong and vivacious from the start, and immediately stood up to begin drinking his mother's milk.

    PICTURE PERFECT 

    A mischievous marmot got a taste of life on the other side of the lens. Tired of being photographed, the cute creature seized the opportunity to take some pictures itself after spotting an unattended camera. Stefan Meyers, the 67-year-old from Germany who owns the camera, watched helplessly as the shy creature approached his equipment, stood on its hind legs and looked carefully through the lens.

    These adorable baby dormice are feeling berry good after a lucky escape. Six of the tiny youngsters were discovered alone in a hedge in a garden in Cornwall with their dead mother close by. The brood was uncovered by Geoff Brown, who heard their frantic squeaking. If it weren't for Brown, these tiny furballs would have died.

In a couple of years, he can wake at 6 am, smell you at forty miles away, come straight to your location---over ice, water and mountains and in a straight line---to eat you for lunch. Keep him the hell away from me.
