Cat Gets Help for Owner Having a Heart Attack

Rick Chap doesn't see his cat Buddy only as a close friend, but his savior as well. According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, Chap claims Buddy saved his life after the cat fetched help while Chap was suffering a heart attack.
Buddy had shown himself to be a caring cat ever since Rick and Jennifer Chap took the stray into their Orlando, Fla. home. But six months ago, the feline showed how far his love really goes. Jennifer Chap was working from home in her office one afternoon when Buddy interrupted her. Unlike his usual calm behavior, Buddy was acting frantic.
"He was meowing, scratching and jumping, and just trying to get my attention," Jennifer Chap told WKMG.

Concerned about what the cat was trying to express, Jennifer Chap got up to locate her husband. She found him bent over the kitchen counter in the midst of cardiac arrest. She called emergency services and immediately started performing CPR.
Paramedics were able to get a heartbeat once they arrived, rushing Rick Chap to the hospital. He has gone through surgery and six months of rehab, and is now back to normal life. But one thing has changed: his perspective on his cat, Buddy.
"I really, really, owe my life to Buddy because without him [my wife] would have never come out of that office," he said.
