Couple Sacrifices Wedding Fund to Save Dog
the daily dish
A happy couple passed over the chance to become legally wed in order to stay a happy -- if unofficial -- family with their new pooch. According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, engaged pair Melanie Cannon and Eddie Hanna put their wedding fund towards saving the life of their Pit Bull mix, Koda.
The dog-loving duo adopted Koda from the Halifax Humane Society last year, instantly falling in love with the friendly pooch. But shortly after they brough Koda home, the dog developed serious medical problems, including a horrible case of live shunt. To survive, Koda needed immediate help and lifelong treatment.

Determined to keep Koda as a long-term family member, Hanna and Cannon postponed their wedding and used the funds for the nuptials to treat their furry friend. This is the second time the pair postponed the wedding, rescheduling once before due to the death of Cannon's grandmother.
Touched by the animal lovers' devotion to their dog, the Halifax Humane Society encouraged businesses from around the community to donate goods and services to help the couple finally tie the knot. And folks eagerly responded. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of donations, providing almost everything the pair needed, went towards the newlyweds' happy nuptials this past weekend.

This is a wonderful story, event. Saving a member of their family in an emergency is a most noble, selfless thing to do over your wants. They are lucky to have each other and Koda is lucky to have them. I would never marry anyone at the risk of someones life, even if it was a pet. It speaks volumes on what kind of people they are and what they value. They have treasure in Heaven and a great marriage of many years and loving. I am so happy for them, and Koda too. God bless all three of you, and more to follow too!

Stories like this restores my faith in humanity...
Could have just put it on the roof and drove it to DC and Obama could have it for dinner- problem solved have the wedding so a couple of attorneys can profit on the divorce.
