THE RESTING PLACE
A search dog is pictured sniffing through the rubble at the Fresh Kills landfill in Staten Island, where the remains of the fallen World Trade Center's twin towers were brought.
poor dogs have to breath that dusty smokey air
I read the book about this amazing relationship between Roselle and her owner. What a wonderful bond that kept them together in such tragedy.
Actually there is an Alsatian breed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Alsatian
Its not a "American" Alsatian. Its a Alsatian because hes French. The American Alsatian is mixed with other breeds. But the French just call German Shepherd Dog "Alsatian" because of ww1.
Pic number 6
German Shepherd Dog. There is no such breed as "Alsatian". God bless them for their dedication and sacrifice.
The guy is French, they call them "Alsatians". A lot of people call them that because they don't like "German" in the name. It dates back to WW1. The German Shepherd Dog was on both sides of the war.
May God bless and protect all who's helped and survived this day of 911. That stands for our 4 legged friends as well!
