Two-year-old Charlie Parker isn't sporting the kind of boa you would expect most toddlers playing dress-up to wear. According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, Charlie enjoys donning a 2.5-meter boa constrictor around his neck and going for walks.
-
Charlie's fearless attitude toward this intimidating animal has his home country of Australia calling him the youngest animal wrangler ever.
-
For Charlie, a love of animals is part of the family business. The young boy is the son of Ballarat Wildlife Park's owner, Greg Parker. Charlie's dad represents the third generation of animal trainers in his family, and it looks like his son is planning to be the fourth.
-
Charlie took to the animals that surrounded him at the sanctuary at a very young age. A particular favorite of Charlie's is a boa constrictor named Pablo.
-
Pablo weighs a hefty 20 pounds, but Charlie doesn't let size stand in the way of giving his buddy a lift around the park.
-
Greg Parker told the Daily Mail, "We're still shocked by his natural ability with the animals. It's quite remarkable to watch. He has absolutely no fear of them and he doesn't just handle them; he also has the knowledge."
-
Parker also said that he and his wife never purposefully exposed their son to certain animals, but let Charlie choose his own course.
-
While Charlie showed a natural appreciation for all the creatures he came across around the park, his family says the 2-year-old showed the most interest in snakes and lizards.

The animals that many other folks find somewhat scary, like boas and alligators, seem to be happy to have an adorable little fan on their side.

If the snake decides to squeeze, will a parent be able to get him out of there in time? I doubt it! Idiots!!!!!!

January 11 2013 at 4:05 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyA snake by any means is not cool. To let a child play with a Python is just senseless. That thing could swallow that little boy whole. Adam and Eve could tell you to NEVER trust a snake!!!! Wake up people!!!!

January 10 2013 at 5:13 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe only thing we really have to remember is that you cannot trust an animal or a reptile. You cannot Predict how their behavior will be. Think: If we didn't have consequences for bad behavior, we would behave irratic at even a whim, ya think?

Dumb parents, should be arrested and place in a snake pit themselves with britney spears songs playing over and over again..........cool/cute kid though!

Its so amazing how people live in a bubble made of drama, self opinionated capsule, animals in captivity are not only docile (tamed) but also fed in a regular basis, judging by the look of this snake, looks well care for, no need to even want to bite, it looks very happy & when they are fully opened & spread out is a prefect sign of well being & enviromental stress free ... if it weren't, parents would not have allowed the child to hold it. Who knows, this kid might turned out to be a deep ecologist!

We had 2 fully grown Burmese Pythons, a half grown Reticulated Python, and over a dozen Boas. How many of them hurt people? Zero. Our iguana and bearded dragons were meaner than they were.

September 07 2012 at 1:43 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIn my opinion we should not play with snakes big or small. Can you imagine the germs that they carry, seeing that they are living in or on the ground! Poisonous or not, constrictor or not they should be avoided at all cost. People are crazy to let any of their children play with a snake. That's almost like letting your child play a loaded gun.
