TESTING NINE LIVES
One man showed how far his love for animals goes when he rescued a stray cat from a collapsing building. The rescuer often fed and sheltered the feline, so when the man heard meowing coming from a building being demolished near his residence, he begged the machine operators to stop. He then rushed into the half-destroyed building and dug the trapped cat out of the rubble, seconds before the entire building collapsed. (CTV News)

HAD TO HAVE IT TWICE
Losing a pet is like losing a family member. One Texas woman was so devastated by the loss of her 17-year-old cat, Nicky, she had him cloned. Adorable kitten Little Nicky became the first commercial animal clone sold in the United States. The copycat cost $50,000 dollars, but the owner said it was worth every penny for the purrfect double. ANIMALS IN OFFICE
Local election looking bleak? Don't force yourself to settle on a candidate; write your favorite cat's name in on the ballot instead. This is what several residents of Talkeetna, Alaska did, leading to the election of Stubbs the cat as mayor. Stubbs has served 15 years as honorary mayor of the town, and the citizens couldn't be happier.

Cats are loving, caring, devoted to human owners. I've been a cat lover, rescuer 7 helper for over 50 yrs. July 1981, husband & I found a Tortie in an vacant home, she loved my husband so much that she waited for him to come back home from an appt, he gave her some water & she peacefully died in his arms. Few weeks later I was @ vets office & casually commented that our cat had done great for being 20 yrs old. Imagine my surprise/delight when he said "Mam, Panchita was @ least 24 yrs old, just wish more pet owners took great care of their pets, the way you do". I simply said "Thank you, we consider them part of our family.

I fostered a cat to find a new home for it and I immediately did. As a widow I need all the love, hugs and loud purrs he gives me. He likes to sleep in a box near my computer whenever I use it. On the second day he was here I taped my name and phone number on his collar but he darted out the front door and I couldn't find him. Every night I put a shoe between the front door and the door frame to keep it open. I was giving up 4 days later but when I looked outside I found him coming down the steps looking like nothing had

There are so many pets in need of adoption, and it never seems to slow down. Don't you think you should do that as opposed to making a new one because you like its personality?

This is a good man. He risk his life for a cat. I understand. I have a dog, that saved my life in 2007. If it came down to it, and I knew there was no other way. I would give mine for him.
