Terrifying Shark Feeding Frenzy at the Jersey Shore

Holy shark! If you're in the mood to take a nice dip in the ocean, perhaps you should stray far from the Jersey Shore. (We're looking at you, Snooki.) A few days ago, AngryFish.TV caught a shark feeding frenzy in Ocean County, N.J. According to Surf Fishing Videos, the sharks were aggressively feeding on menhaden, also known as mossbunker, a forage fish. Marine scientists identified the creatures as brown sharks, juvenile blacktip and sandbar tiger sharks. These sharks were going at it only 50 yards from the shoreline. They started out approximately a mile offshore, and moved into the surf zone within minutes. Watch this video of hungry sharks now, and maybe stay out of the Jersey waters.

Funny. If you're a shark, this is just the most fun time you can have. Food and jumping. Of course, if you are a small aquatic creature who happens to be in the water at the time, other than a shark, it's not so nice. All is perspective. Seems pretty natural and unworthy of our fear. I don't go hiking in a grizzly zone either.

If you want to stay away from something that is hundreds of times more likely to kill you, avoid stinging insects like bees and wasps. The wisdom down here in Texas is if you are wade fishing and a sand or black tip shark takes a fancy to the stringer of red fish and speckled trout you have attached to your wading belt (which you SHOULD NOT have attached), tell the shark to knock itself out and enjoy the feast....and if you want to keep your catch next time, put it some place else.....
