Want the luxurious fluffiness of a Poodle, but don't want any of the responsibilities that come with a dog? Then this may be the creature for you. According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, taxonomist Dr. Arthur Anker snapped an up-close picture of a poodle moth, also known as a muslin moth, in Venezuela. This image has quickly spread around the Web, drawing all kinds of comments.

TOO FLUFFY FOR REALITY
When Dr. Anker first posted the picture, many commenters rushed to claim that the critter couldn't be real. One poster even remarked that the bug belonged in a "Harry Potter" movie.

BUG OFF!
While there may be non-believers, this moth is truly a member of Earth's animal kingdom, though little is known about the insect.
-
SUN LOVING
Poodle moths are native to Venezuela, where Dr. Anker found the model for his photo. The bug obviously gets its name from the bountiful and Poodle-esque fur coat that covers its body.
-
PHOTO PRO
Dr. Anker spends much of his time capturing photos of interesting animals from around the world. Not just a bug man, the taxonomist also features plenty of mammal and sea-creature snapshots on his Flickr page.

OPEN TO ALL
Having travelled and photographed an impressive array of animals, Dr. Anker has seen his share of scary bugs. The poodle moth's adorable appearance is a welcome change of pace.
