Unfortunately, London's previous owner waited over a month after the fall to seek any treatment for the Pit Bull. At this point, surgery to fix the dogs bones was too risky to preform. London was put into the care of a local Vancouver, Washington Humane Society that sought out a specialist to help the pup. With assistance from Panda Paws, a group that helps pay for rescue animals' emergency medical situations, London had his front paws amputated.

They repeatedly threw threw dog to the ground breaking both front legs after an incident where the puppy chewed up the couch at a few montgs old.they also left the pup without treatment which was the leading cause to why the legs were amputated. So sad but the puppy is doing well and ecieving therapy and a wheel chair whi h will help him walk. The people are complete scumbags and r being charged of counts of animal abuse and failure to get veterinary help. They face three years in prison and up to 20000 dollars in fines

August 14 2012 at 3:46 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe dog deserved a chance to get better and have a decent life, why is it that those who claim to love animals the most are also those who would be willing to put an animal to sleep the quickest, so what if its a painful recovery, better to be given that chance than to be dead forever more, animals do understand and do not want to be put down, pain will go in time but death is forever, give an animal a chance rather than taking the negative view that its in pain therefore it must be put to sleep.
Another way of putting this is how can you know what its quality of life will be unless you give it a chance, it looks happy now, too many pets are just put to sleep instead of anyone giving the animals a second chance of happiness.
You would think the owner of this dog would receive some kind of fine, jail sentence for such terrible neglect. They should never be allowed to own a pet again. This situation is incredibly hard to fathom.

Point blank, this owner is a scum bad. I'm tired of hearing BS excuses! They should be held accountable! Scum Bags! I'm giving the dog the nickname "spirt", so i'm "TEAM SPIRT!".
August 14 2012 at 1:21 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhat was wrong with the owner? I am sure that the dog had a hell of a time even going to the bathroom and getting around to eat and get a drink of water. What is wrong with people? How would the owner like to have someone break his hands and feet and let him or her lay there and figure out what to do!!! Some people should NEVER have pets.
August 14 2012 at 12:48 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIn reply to Lisa's comment, There are many pros and cons to this, however I say good for them to give the dog a chance. If the dog didn't have the will to live it would not have made it this far. Animals have a way of just letting go when they do not want to live anymore. Would we kill off another human just because they could not tell us that they still want to live after a tragic accident that would cause pain and suffering? I'm sure they made London's recovery as comfortable and pain free as possible. Every animal deserves the chance to recover from injury, just as any human. But I do understand where you are coming from on the point as to not want to cause pain and suffering.
