Before Kenneth Bortz died, he had amassed a fortune in valuable antiques. However, according to KHOU, he had no one to leave them to other than his beloved dog, Lucky.

By the time of his death, Bortz had enough fine china and world-class silver to fill 10 houses. His will stated that all of his belongings were to go to Lucky. His relatives did not want any of the collectibles, so Bortz's trust manager, Tim Connolly, decided to hold an estate sale. All profits made would fund Lucky's care.

According to KDFW, Lucky's inheritance includes an 18th-century painting that recently sold for $15,000, as well as antique furniture, collectibles, jewelry and 10 homes in Fort Worth, Texas.

"For Kenneth, his dogs were basically his children, his family," said Skipper Dixon, a close friend of Bortz's. Bortz's nieces and nephews will inherit the rest of the money when Lucky dies. Until then, the dog will surely be living a life of luxury.
