    Moms have a special kind of power that allows them to do the seemingly impossible to save their babies. This is a phenomenon that's also displayed by animals, this time by a canine from Temuco, Chile. According to Digital Journal, a dog named Amanda has become Reddit's new hero for saving her puppies from an inferno and placing them on a firetruck to ensure their safety.

    Amanda the German Shepard sprang into puppy-saving action when she sensed trouble coming from her home. The new mom ran through the fire inside the residence and retrieved each of her 10-day-old babies while firefighters fought the blaze alongside her.

    After collecting all of puppies, Amanda moved them to the safest place she could find: the sill of a nearby firetruck. The mother carefully handled each pup with her mouth, setting them all together.

    Amanda and her brood were rushed to an emergency veterinarian for treatment. The mom and most of her puppies received only minor injuries and burns from the fire. Sadly, one pup's burns were worse than the rest, and it died soon after arriving at the vet.

    While the state of the home is unknown, all of the people living there were able to escape. And thanks to Amanda, animals were saved from the flames too. We sense a Mother of the Year award in her future.
