Who is this little cutie that can fit in the palm of your hand? It's Bristol Zoo Gardens' new baby pudu fawn. According to Crittr, the youngster was born in May, and although it is a bit shy, it is beginning to warm up to its surroundings.

    BASHFUL BABY

This shy sweetheart is not used to the great outdoors just yet. To something that weighs four pounds, the world must be a vast and intimidating place!

    PERPETUALLY POCKET-SIZED

The pudu is the world's smallest deer species. Even when this fawn is fully grown, it will be only 15 inches tall. That's just a wee bit taller than a ruler.

Look people, this website or picture of an innocent little fawn isn't a place to debate whether hunting is good or bad. Please people, JUST LOOK AT THE DANG PICTURE!

He is a cute critter isn't he !! I gotta say though for those of you trying to make others mad by saying to kill it and eat it - you are giving hunting a bad name and just making yourself look like an idiot. For those of you against hunting understand the balance of nature - open God's Word - the Bible - he made all creatures and gave man power over them all. He also made the animals to be used for food. I hunt and I truly enjoy being in the woods and enjoying God's creation. I only take what my family and I will eat - I am completely against sport hunting - there is no sport in killing just to kill !!! It one park, it was proven that if you eliminate hunters from an area the animals will flourish for a couple years but within about 4 to 5 years there end up being too many animals and they start dying of starvation which then festers diseases due to all the dead carcasses and is very bad for 'ALL' creatures inhabiting the place. Hunting is actually very humane - and if done in the manner of providing food for ones self, should be a very acceptable practice !! In todays world though, we see that the Bible is proving true - it says that in the end times that people will worship the creation more than the creator - and we see that every day with all the PETA garb and anti-hunting and save the whales (but who cares about the millions of babies being aborted) and people being more concerned about what they own than those around them. People are so absorbed in themselves they can't even see the creator in the things around them - so I just want to say thank you God for creating this little Pudu !!

Took the words right out of my mouth. Though I do believe that some animals are for food (very sad face, I hate it!!) I am not happy or proud about it. They should be respected, and then (if necessary) painlessly killed, with as little trauma as possible.
Some people are missing something, something inside, and they do not even know it. How does one explain color to a blind person? It is the same with the word of God.

rebasfl - Eat meat? Any meat at all? Have you seen where your meat comes from? Hunters at least give an animal more of a chance than a slaughter line. You are a true IDIOT.

Hunters. Hate em. They can't wait until it grows so they can stalk it and put a bullet or arrow
thru it's heart. Sorry to be so negative, but someone has to put these twits down.

I know right. There is something wrong with a person that gets all excited about KILLING ANYTHING. There is a screw loose somewhere, and not in a good way either. I can understand hunting for food :( but if some one gets off on killing, they really, REEE-ALLY need to examine themselves. REAL men (and REAL women)do not need to hurt things smaller than themselves to feel good about themselves. They will have to explain to GOD, why they did the things they have done.
