Everybody wants somebody to love. Perhaps those who share this sentiment the most are shelter pets. Lu Parker, a renowned TV journalist in Los Angeles, is dedicated to helping homeless dogs and cats find their special someones. Through her non-profit organization, The Lu Parker Project, she founded Project Picture, which encourages people through heartwarming portraits to adopt shelter pets. Each animal is given a chance to "groom up," put on its best grin and strike a winning pose. Learn more about the pets behind these adorable pics, read some of their success stories, and find out which cuties you can take home.
