Dognapper Sticks $1,000 Pomeranian Puppy in Pants
the daily dish
Two men entered a Zoo-Rama pet store in New York intending to take home some cash, not a canine. The plan was for one thief to distract the store's employee with pet-adoption questions while the other man opened the register and ran off with the loot. Their scheme went awry when the locked register drawer wouldn't budge. Eager to leave the botched job with some kind of profit, the robber spied a Pomeranian puppy. Instead of asking how much the doggy in the window cost, the man decided it was free, and stuffed the little dog down his pants before running off. The search is now on for the man seen on the surveillance tape packing his pants with a $1,000 puppy. The store's owner is offering a reward for the dog's safe return.
