wow! they are so cute can't wait to see what they will look like as adults, and why is it people can't read the rest about the mothers not able to produce enough milk. Yes its sad they are not with their mothers but if she can't produce enough food for her young one or all would of died so its good to know the people in the zoo are there to care for them!
I suppose it will probably get me a lot of hate comments to mention this but...these cubs wouldn't survive in the wild anyway. They would be spotted by predators much more easily than their proper colored kin. So just sit back, relax and enjoy them.
if their mother can't produce enough milk, they're dead not long after they hit the ground, if they were to make it to adult hood, their prized skins would be their undoing, even as an obvious color, they still are close to the top of their natural food chain
It's because the mother wasn't producing enough milk. Unfortunately this happens sometimes, it's just lucky the zoo is there to step in and help out. That's a big job, feeding them every 2 hours. I've done it for housecats and dogs, it's rough, but ultimately worth it.
