Locals are unsure about who the dog belongs to, where it came from or if its owner has either died or abandoned it. But one thing is for sure: this bus stop has some sort of meaning to the dog.

The dog is very well-behaved and shows signs that indicate it has been trained.

"Jurong's Hachiko" appears to be in a healthy state, although it has no home. Local establishments, such as the local newspaper vendor, have been helping feed the dog.

A group of people have brought the dog into their home in hopes of finding him a permanent family. It will be put up for adoption after it has a full veterinary check-up.
