Aimee French of Phoenix, Ariz. saved the life of Sally Joe, a 9-week-old American bulldog mix. But this wouldn't be Sally Joe's last near-death experience.
Several weeks ago, Sally Joe was at a kill shelter with her mother and siblings. Aimee French learned that the American bulldog family at the shelter was going to be put down, so she chose to adopt them.
"I got there five minutes before Sally Joe was going to euthanized," French told KNXV-TV.
French brought Sally Joe and her mother home. But days later, her new puppy was grabbed by a owl in her backyard.

After the owl flew away with her new puppy, French thought she would never find Sally Joe, but soon thereafter, French was relieved to discover that the owl dropped Sally Joe in a neighbor's backyard.
Sally Joe will be ready for adoption in just a few weeks. If interested, visit the Ohana Animal Rescue website for more information.

It was a great horned owl. Aimee French, Sally Jo's foster Mom took a picture of the owl, in the nearby tree. And Sally Jo was taken during a midnight potty break. If you would like to follow her story, feel free to do it via Facebook at www.facebook.com/ohanaanimalrescue Thank you.
