Bird Pesters Three Kittens
It may be three against one here, but this brazen little bird exhibits zero fear of its multiple feline foes. We're not sure what this pretty blue bird's back story is, but we have to assume he or she grew up in either a beauty salon or a doctor's office considering the way it keeps pecking at and prodding these kittens. We can appreciate the bird's desire to groom the fluffy furballs, but let's face it -- if this bird doesn't wise up soon, these cats are going to grow up fast and be on the prowl for one specifically pesty parakeet. Hiss!

Watching that bird preen those kittens reminded me of the Keet we used to have. He had quite a vocabulary of words he could say. He would eat food off our plates and I told him he was a cannibal once because he loved chicken fried rice. He sat on my shoulder when I would shower and take one too. They are such fun birds. I miss him so much.

They say if a bird gets attacked it should be taken to the vet for an antibiotic - not sure how to type this in the language the video is in??

When I got my cat as a kitten at 6wks. old he scratched and bit me to the point that I was bleeding a lot!. I had to wash the wounds very well since when cats/kittens bite and draw blood there is a good chance of getting an infection.
July 03 2012 at 8:20 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWe adopted a german shepherd mix the widest dog I have ever seen, she was huge and raised on people food.we tried to keep her on a diet when we got her but no use she was uninterested in anything other than snuggling and sleeping, huge dog 92 pounds.I am a teacher and I purchased a rat as our class pet best ever so smart.the dog would be laying down the rat would be out and chased this dog around the house.the dog was herded by this tiny animal who caught on right away that she could make this huge dog do just about anything..why this massive dog was her pet I will never understand but she trained the dog well..we lost both not too long ago and miss them dearly and have many happy memories, giggles and videos to look back on..rest in peace my little odd couple you are both missed..

July 03 2012 at 5:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply"She" is a he. There was no mothering involved. He was just social grooming.

July 03 2012 at 4:38 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAs far as the introduction goes; to my experience when cats grow up with an animal that is normally prey, they will continue to consider it family unless it is separated from them for a long time. The bird will not be in any danger from those cats once they grow up.
