Here are some of the biggest bundles the stork had to drop off at the paws of some pretty overwhelmed animal moms.

    10 AFRICAN WILD DOGS

Brookfield Zoo's African Wild Dog, Kim, put other mothers' labor stories to shame when she gave birth to 10 precious pups. The new pack was welcomed around the world as an adorable boost to a severely endangered species. (Chicago Zoological Society)

    5 CHEETAH CUBS

Amani wowed zoos worldwide when she gave birth to five cubs at a National Zoo facility. Researchers were especially excited about the large litter, because cheetah cubs fare better in bigger groups. Plus, the birth offered an excellent opportunity to monitor the cheetah's mothering techniques. (Washingtonian)

    6 MEERKAT KITS

With the common litter size for meerkats being three babies, this mama was pulling double duty. A meerkat at the Paradise Wildlife Park in the U.K. recently had six kits and is caring for them all successfully. Even more impressive, the mom is also watching over four other pups from previous births. (ZooBorns)

    9 ARCTIC FOX PUPS

Just one shy of double digits, Aurora the Arctic fox gave birth to nine pups at the Como Zoo in Minnesota. Zoo workers say, while the new mom spent time caring for the pups after birth, the dad could be found proudly prancing around their exhibit. (Como Park Zoo)

    10 FERRET KITS

The Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute recently tied the record for the largest black-footed-ferret litter. The facility welcomed 10 kits from one birth, bringing the total ferret babies born there in 2011 to 50. That's a great figure for a species so close to extinction. (National Zoo)

    14 HOGS BABIES

Two pregnant Guinea hogs must have known that there is strength in numbers. The pair gave birth during the same week at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo. Between the duo, the facility welcomed 14 heavenly hogs. Hopefully, the moms don't mind splitting up babysitting duties. (Zoo Borns)

    22 DUCKLINGS

One duck was on major sitting duty, keeping 22 eggs warm until hatching. The animal surprised an English couple when she decided to lay her record-breaking flock in the shrubs of their yard. The humans weren't sure how many babies she hatched until they saw the mom leading her 22 new ducklings down to a nearby pond for a swim. (Talequah Daily Press)

    32 COMMON TEREC BABIES

The Common Tenrec has litters that beat out most other animals all the time. For this hedgehog-like critter, litters of 18 are considered normal, but birth numbers up to 32 aren't surprising either. Show-offs. (Mitsinjo)
