When Carol Buckley, founder and former president of the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, was asked to step down from her position, she felt betrayed and saddened, not only because the sanctuary was her life, but because of an elephant named Tarra. Buckley got Tarra when she was only a year old and trained her. They toured the country together for 20 years. Now, Carol has found herself suing the board of directors for unlawful termination, defamation and elephant visitation rights. But new president William Schaffner argues that the elephants are not anyone's pets and that there has never been a case where an elephant has shown any long-term signs of missing a human. (CBS News)
