    LIVESTOCK: FARMER VS. HUMANE SOCIETY 

    In 2009, a horse, pony and eight goats were the subject of a custody battle in Texoma County, Texas. The Humane Society seized the livestock from Punkin Center because the animals were malnourished. The judge agreed and ordered former owner Santiago Cordoma to pay the Humane Society $3,900 for feed costs. (Texoma)
