Wave your fins in the air, like you just don't care! June is Aquarium Month for all you aqua lovers out there. To honor the majestic homes of our fishy friends, we're taking a look into the craziest tanks out there. These aren't your typical glass rectangles filled with fake seaweed, so get ready for some of the weirdest underwater abodes.
10. SINK YOUR GILLS INTO THIS
Opulent Items certainly lives up to their name. The company offers a $4,500 aquarium sink that is sure to add a WOW factor to any bathroom. Just make sure to keep the tank as fresh and clean as your hands.

9. COFFEE TABLE TANK
You won't need coffee-table books if you invest in this peculiar piece of fishy furniture. While it looks like you could take your glass table and fill it with a few gallons of agua, this piece requires some painstaking work. But the folks who own them enjoy a true conversation starter.

8. THINK TANK
Boob tube rotting your brain? Maybe it's time to replace all that reality television with some fish. One London pub had that bright and watery idea, turning an old TV into an aquarium. Patrons love the adjustments, but there is one complaint: all the channels are the same.
-
7. AQUATIC KEGGER
The aquarium professionals of Animal Planet's show "Tanked" were given an unusual party request. One dude wanted to transform some old kegs into a frat fish's dream house. The final result is certainly something to raise a glass to.

6. FISH ON LINE ONE
As the Festival of Lights rolled around in France, a lighting designer and artist duo got a bright idea. Benoit Deseille and Benedetto Bufalino decided to transform an unused phone booth in Lyons into a mini aquatic escape. The pair said they were working to recapture the beauty and wonder of the phone booth, which is now forgotten in this mobile age.

5. ROYAL FLUSH
With the Fish 'n Flush toilet from Aqua One, your pets are going to see a lot more of you than they would probably prefer. This truly bizarre toilet uses two seperate water tanks, so don't worry; your fish won't have to deal with any (human) waste.

4. CROCODILE ROCK
The aquarium masters of "Tanked" struck again with this truly groovy piece. The guys converted an old jukebox into a modern tank full of retro charm and plenty of happy fish.

3. FISH ON THE FOUL LINE
In case you somehow manage to become bored sitting behind home plate, the new Florida Marlins baseball stadium has something to keep you entertained. The ballpark has built-in aquariums behind home plate. That means the fish get the true front-row seats to every home game.

2. ROOM WITH A VIEW
We already saw a toilet with fish inside, but how about one surrounded by underwater creatures? The facilities at the Mumin Papa Cafe in Japan are a tad fishy, literally. The bathroom is walled in by three impressive glass aquariums so you can watch the fish go about their business while you go about yours.

Next: Get More Weirdness!
1. THE BIG ONE
Behold the AquaDom, the big daddy of all crazy aquariums. This fish-filled cylinder can be found in Berlin at the Raddison Blu Hotel. The giant tank also contains a transparent elevator that gives you a lift to the city's Sea Life Centre. Overall, the AquaDom contains 1,500 fish and one million liters of water, making it the biggest cylindrical aquarium in the world.

It would have been nice if I could have seen the pictures of the crazy tanks.
June 15 2012 at 10:13 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyThese aquariums are inhumane and promote horrible fish-keeping practices. :-( Live creatures are not ornaments.
June 12 2012 at 4:37 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWell said!
December 27 2012 at 8:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyOne thing that's upsetting...a couple of these tanks are shown with waaaaay more gold fish in them than is healthy. A single gold fish requires 18-20 gallons, as they will attain a mature size of 10-12 inches. The toilet tank and sink are not at all suitable for gold fish. They need something that's smaller and easier to keep. Like zebra danios.
June 10 2012 at 3:29 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI agree. Plus what about the heat generated from that grill top? That's going to rapidly change the temperature and is not healthy for any fish!
December 27 2012 at 9:00 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyTypo- meant sink top in reference to running hot water through the pipes and such.
December 27 2012 at 9:03 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate downSalt water aquariums are the best....harder to keep but the fish are so much cooler... those were some cool looking aquariums
June 10 2012 at 2:42 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyto aol white voice. You have got. To be one of those ministers who wants people dead that they don't like. A VERY shameful person and Christian. Pathetic.
June 10 2012 at 12:54 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMy favorite is the one with Obama joining Osama in the deep blue waters.
June 10 2012 at 11:47 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyYour a moron. Keep you low IQ to yourself.
June 10 2012 at 1:37 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyI am still not sure. The best way to run an aquarium, a fresh water one, is to have an under gravel filter connected to power head(s) and to a very good filter. Unfortunately, .. this trpe of set up should be left to the professionals
June 10 2012 at 11:25 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyCreativity at its best.
June 10 2012 at 9:40 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAwesome Aquarium, ...HOW DO YOU CLEAN IT?
June 10 2012 at 8:29 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThere are some high-powered filters that will keep an aquarium clean for long stretches of time but, occasionally, aquariums do need to be drained and cleaned. The cleaning agents I used for over twenty years to clean my aquariums were salt to kill bacteria and vinegar to kill fungus. I never used anything else. I never had a problem.
