A golden snub-nosed monkey is seen in a cage decorated with lotus lanterns at Everland, the largest amusement park in South Korea.

An offspring of U.S. horse Real Quiet is seen at the Cuatro Piedras stud farm in Montevideo, Uruguay. Real Quiet is the horse that came closest to winning the Triple Clown since it was last won in 1978.

WORLD TURTLE DAY 

What a special World Turtle Day for this female green sea turtle. After months of receiving treatment for an injury probably caused by a boat strike, she is in her final stages of rehabilitation at Oceanworld in Sydney, Australia. Soon, she will be tagged and released into the wild.

HANGING OUT

Lequinho, a 2-month-old green monkey hangs on a plastic bin at the Rio De Janiero Zoo. Sadly, his mother died upon giving birth, so Lequinho is being taken care of by a team of vets.

SPLISH, SPLASH

A 2-year-old baby elephant named Nayan gets cooled off with water by keepers at Chester Zoo in England. Temperatures are rising all over Britain as the summer season approaches.

LION'S OLDEST FRIEND 

Behcet Ali, 82, is Bulgaria's oldest zookeeper, famous for raising over 15 lion cubs during his 33-year service. Here, Ali poses with one of the cubs in their enclosure at the zoo in Razgrad. 

BABY BUMP 

Cincinnati Zoo's pregnant zebra is going to pop any day now! Zookeepers have been on standby for the last three weeks, but there is still no baby to announce yet. Stay tuned. 

OTTER PUP ARRIVAL

Prospect Park Zoo welcomes the first batch of North American otter pups into their family since 1956. Too cute! 

GARDEN SALAD 

Indianapolis Zoo's tortoises are fueling up for the Zoopolis 500, one of the country's greatest tortoise races. We wish them the best of luck and can't wait to see which tortoise comes out on top.

CANINE ECLIPSE OF THE HEART 

A dog puts on his special glasses to view the solar eclipse at Koriyama city in Fukushima prefecture, northern Japan. Millions of people turned their eyes to the sky on both sides of the Pacific to watch as the solar eclipse created a "ring of fire" at dawn in Asia. 

CELEB BFF

Betty White, Hollywood's biggest animal lover, recently had a celebrity roast where all of her dearest friends were invited, including Uggie from "The Artist." Nature's Variety Instinct, a natural pet-food brand, was a sponsor of the canine-obsessed honoree's roast.

SNAIL STAR 

A fabulous French snail slides across the red carpet during the 65th Cannes Film Festival. We wonder what movie he starred in!
