    Between the infant glitz of "Toddlers and Tiaras" and the megawatt smiles of the Miss Universe competition, it seems like humans have the beauty-pageant biz cornered. Wrong! Animals everywhere are being professionally judged for their stunning looks and oh-so-subtle swagger. Obviously, the Q&A round is removed, but otherwise these interesting animal pageants are surprisingly human. 

    10. DUCK FASHION PARADE

    During this annual event in Sydney, Australia, ducks don the finest wares custom-made for those with feathers. The quakers waddle down the runway in front of hundreds of fans, who got an extra treat this year: a duck wedding!

    9. CAT FASHION SHOW

    This isn't some shin-dig where you can show up in any old pair of kitten mittens. At this annual birthday bash for the Algonquin Hotel's resident feline, Matilda, guests are expected to wear only the best feline couture. The bewhiskered fashionistas have a chance to show off their looks, sashaying down the catwalk for judges and other feline fans.

    8. SHOW OF THE BEST 

    This German cow competition is an opportunity for dairy cows to show there is more to them than a set of udders. Only the 200 most beautiful bovines from the Saxony area are invited to participate in the barn-animal beauty pageant.

    7. DRAKE RELAYS BEAUTIFUL BULLDOG CONTEST

    Held at Drake University, where a Bulldog is the school mascot, this competition allows the breed to exhibit their stylish good looks without having to deal with all the smaller and fluffier dogs. Outfits range from nurse costumes to tutus, representing the many complex sides of the Bulldog.

    6. DAY OF THE TURKMEN RACE HORSE

    Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedo is such a horse fanatic that he has created a holiday for the animal. Every year, the nation holds a contest to crown the country's "most beautiful" horse.

    5. POULTRY CLUB NATIONAL SHOW

    If you are a chicken, turkey, or any kind of bird that is at risk of becoming a holiday meal, this is a safe haven for you. This show is all about sharing the elegance of poultry. Think of it as Westminster with feathers instead of fur.

    4. MAZAYIN DHAFRA CAMEL FESTIVAL

    The annual festival occurs at the end of January in the United Arab Emirates. One of the most anticipated parts of the festival is the beauty contest. The dromedaries are judged on their shiny coats, neck length and, of course, the size of their humps.

    3. RABBIT FESTA

    During this competition in Yokohama City, Japan bunnies are not judged by their ear-floppiness or their tails' resemblance to a cotton ball. On the contrary, this contest is all about how chic your rabbit looks. Owners from across the country bring their rabbits dressed in the sharpest styles in hopes of landing the top prize.

    2. WISCONSIN STATE FAIR LLAMA COSTUME CONTEST

    Each year, dozens of cheese heads sit down at their sewing machines to craft a costume with an extra long neck for this contest. The Wisconsin State Fair awards a prize to the llama and owner duo who have the best complimentary outfits. This pair decided to go for a Viking ensemble.

    1. UGLIEST DOG COMPETITION

    All about looking interesting on the outside and being charming on the inside, this contest has attracted a lot of attention. Held at the Sonoma Marin Fair, dogs from all over put on their best game face and try to look ugly-cute for the judges. Last year's winner, Yoda, who has since died, had the look perfected.
