BABY BLACK RHINO 

A baby black rhino prances around in front of visitors at the St. Louis Zoo. Last year, the West African black rhino, a subspecies similar to his, was declared officially extinct.

Brutus the bear tries to cool off from the Columbus, Ohio sun by taking a quick dip in the pool. 

FABULOUS FEATHERS 

A peacock struts his stuff for customers at Austin's Green Pastures restaurant. He is one of many beautiful birds roaming the restaurant's grounds.

A cheerful Bulldog enjoys the indoor playground of Hollywood's newest luxury dog hotel and daycare, Pooch Hotel. 

PANDA PRESERVE 

Two giant pandas at the Wolong National Nature Reserve in China prepare for their return back to the wild. The bears will be left to fend for themselves to learn crucial survival skills, and scientists plan to gradually reduce human interactions until they can live in the wild without any assistance.

Central Park Zoo's gorgeous blue-and-gold macaw strikes a pose. She knows she's pretty and that the camera loves her.

EVERYBODY LOVES LUCY 

Belfast Zoo welcomed baby Lucy into its chimpanzee family this week. Lucy was a lucky baby, born on St. Patrick’s Day to proud parents Lizzie and Andy.

Every April, farmer Erwin Stadler shears his alpacas to help them cope with the intense summer heat. He doesn't give them just any old haircut, though!

MONKEY MUSINGS

Loango, a crown male mangabey monkey, stands next to his keeper at the Jardin des Plantes Zoo in Paris. Loango's birth is part of the zoo's European Breeding of Endangered Species Program. 

BABY BAT-EARED FOXES

Cincinnati Zoo's bat-eared foxes Runt and Pombre brought three teeny-tiny baby bat-eared foxes into the world last month.

Holy cute! Palm Beach Zoo welcomed five adorable fennec fox kits. The kits are approximately 7 weeks old and have just started to introduce themselves to the public.

After around 40 days of cozy nesting, two baby hummingbirds are getting ready to make a neighborhood in Sherman Oaks, Calif. their new humming ground.

OTTER-LY ADORABLE

Visitors to the Pittsburgh Zoo are welcome to visit their new baby sea otter recently put on exhibit. Working along with the Alaska SeaLife Center, the zoo has provided a new home for the otter pup that was found stranded along an Alaskan coastline.

DRAGON DARLING

The Leipzig Zoo in Germany recently imported 10 young, beautiful Komodo dragons from the United States. The lizards will be shared among zoos across Europe.

BONOBO BABY

Sambo, Frankfurt Zoo's newest baby bonobo, sips on milk from a baby bottle. His mother was not able to produce enough milk, so zookeepers have helped to raise him so far.

HELLO, WORLD!

This little cutie uncurled to greet the world and visitors at the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo in San Jose, Calif. The baby hedgehog is one of three recently born at the zoo that will visit schools for education programs once they are older.

PRESENTS FOR THE PORPOISE 

Everybody gets excited about their birthday, even dolphins. Casique the dolphin is celebrating her 10th birthday at the Georgia Aquarium, and she couldn't be happier. Just look at that face!

NOM NOM 

Bovines prefer only the freshest greens. For example, these dairy cows in the Gaza Strip munch on the carnations growing around their farm during a lunch break.

A WHOLE NEW POUCH

Tilly the wallaby enjoys a unique and cushy life at the Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire, England. The orphaned marsupial is being hand-reared by zookeepers who carry her everywhere in a backpack to simulate a mother's pouch.

BOW WOW BLOSSOMS

Now that spring has sprung, dogs are ready to do a little sightseeing. This pooch decided to enjoy some nature appreciation by visiting the cherry-blossom trees at Kungstradgarden park in Stockholm.

KISS FOR MOM

Orangutans Tua and Batu decided to celebrare Mother's Day early at the Philadelphia Zoo. The pair were caught sharing sweet smooches throughout the weekend.
