Family Reunited with Lost Dog After Six Years
A family in Pomona, Calif. reunited with their dog after being apart for 6 years. Owner April Allen found her dog, Princess, thanks to Princess' microchip. Six years ago, Princess escaped out of a hole in the Allens' backyard. Princess was gone two hours before anyone realized that she was missing. The Allens posted fliers all over their neighborhood in hopes of finding Princess. Eventually, the family gave up, believing Princess to be forever lost until they received a phone call six years later.

Allen told KTLA that a a woman found Princess with what was believed to be her puppy and brought them to an animal shelter to be scanned for microchips. "Sure enough, Princess had a chip, and all my information came up, and six years later I have my baby back," Allen said.

Where had Princess been all those years? Allen suspects another family may have adopted her into their home, but never tried to find out who might have been her rightful owner. The Allens have taken Princess and her puppy, Bella, back into their home. "We're so happy," Allen said. "They bring us so much joy."

This gives me hope....my Lucy Latte has been gone for a month....oh, I miss her so much and pray that I also experience a miracle. She has a microchip and is the best girl. Meanwhile, I adopted a little dog from a shelter.......

Don't think it's not necessary, you really cannot know what accidents can happen. Yes, some microchip requires an initial fee or annual fee.

You usually can't even see the photo of the rare/lost/talented animal with the story, but you can look at 1/2 screen size bichons that have nothing to do with anything all you want....
April 23 2012 at 8:51 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI am very happy that Mrs. April Allen had a positve outcome in the search for her dog. If dogs could speak, imagine the stories that she'd hear regarding Princess' survival over the past six years. In so far as this "Banana 98" character, I think someone, or the system is having fun exploiting him/her. The guy comes across as poorly educated, bitter and sad. Let's see how long before he/she is taken off the streets and instituionalized. Bet it won't be long.
April 23 2012 at 8:37 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy is banana98 post not being noticed? Foul language and a bad attitude should get him/her kicked off! grow up weirdo.
