Las Vegas is one of those places where people tend to shed their inhibitions but as long as you don’t drop your responsibilities as a pet owner then Sin City is a wonderful place for your Yorkie to have a little fun as well. Schedule a massage for your furry friend at Trump International Hotel, which provides a doggie bed, treats, Bowser Beer (don't worry; it's non-alcoholic), pet-relief area in front of the hotel and an array of pet products--including Frosty Paws ice cream--for purchase in the Trump Store. Order Fifi room service from the pet menu at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, which also offers dog-walking services and a grassy area called Barking Lot Lane for your pooch to take care of business.
The swank Cosmopolitan and the Four Seasons also roll out the red carpet for pets. Seven hotels under the Harrah's umbrella (Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, Harrah's Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas, Bally's Las Vegas, Rio Las Vegas Hotel and Casino and Imperial Palace) take part in the PetStay program. The Riviera Hotel and Casino is the latest Sin City property to offer pet-friendly rooms but excludes certain breeds with a "bite history." (Your Yorkie is not on the list.) Now that the weather is heating up in Las Vegas, remember to protect your pooch's feet on the hot pavement. And be aware that the Clark County Commission recently approved a ban that prohibits pets on the Strip except from 5 a.m. to noon (an ordinance designed to curb pan-handling, not penalize our little pals).

Hi Tatiana,
May 04 2012 at 7:19 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAirline policies do require pets to stay in the carrier but some flight attendants look the other way, especially when on long flights. If no one is in the seat next to me then I often open my dog's carrier so she can have more air. I never put her in my lap though, unless briefly to pose for a photo. It's important to be sensitive to your fellow passengers who are not fond of dogs (especially a 20 pound bulldog!) or are allergic.. Safe travels!
Do i have to keep my French Bulldog, 20,5 lb in the bag under the seat all 5-7 hours of flight?
