According to the NY Post, a brave 12-year-old Pitbull from Staten Island, NY took a bullet to the head to save the life of his owner during an apartment robbery early Saturday afternoon.

A robber dressed as a FedEx deliveryman entered an apartment claiming he had a package to deliver. When resident Justin Becker realized the man had invaded his home, the 32-year-old was able to push the robber to the ground and against the door. Kilo, Becker's Pit Bull, then came to Becker's side, sticking his head out the door to see how he could help. At that moment, the robber shot Kilo in the head and ran off.

Immediately after, Becker picked Kilo up and brought him to the South Shore Animal Hospital in New Dorp. Kilo wouldn't give up. An X-ray showed that the bullet had entered Kilo's head, bounced off his skull and exited through his neck.
