my dog always picks one toy to bring to bed with him every night. He stands in front of all of his toys trying to decide which one he will pick. this happens every night when we ask him if he is ready for bed. I wonder why?
Natasha dogs usually eat grass when they have an upset stomach because it helps them throw up. It is hard on their stomach and doesn't help them digest food
Changa is your dog fixed? If he isn't that could explain the behavior. Also, instead of using the crate as negative enforcement you should establish boundaries. If I had a little dog that did that I would put him on his side til he relaxed (submissive state) and repetition of this should help
I haver a rat terrier that loves to be held, however after he has sat there for awhile he becomes mean and growels and also snaps at me.I used to put him in his cage when he done that, now when he has those spells he jumps down and goes and gets into his cage. He snaps at everyone. i never know if he is ever going to bite, since he never has it still worries me. What can I do. HELP PLEASE!!!
I've heard dogs eat grass to help them digest their food it could be something about their hairballs but i dont know I'm not a dog whisperer
Hi Raegrant,I'm no expert, but my little poodles tend to do the same thing about eating... I think it might be something as simple as their "house-training"... like if they eat or drink they need to go "outside"... as for the stretching... maybe they are sleeping before you come home... just my thoughts... cokejazz
If there is someone who answers questions here i have a few. I have 8 dogs and everyone is loved very much by me, not so much by each other! One strange behavior I have often wondered about is this, when I go away for a while I always leave the dogs in the house. When I get home they always do two things, first they are so happy that they "stretch on me" they jump up on me and stretch. It is weird. Then they run over to their food bowls and start eating. It is like they waited for me to come home before they would eat. I always thought it was strange behavior and I have always wondered why on both of those. All my animals are loved and I could never get rid of any of them. They are my buddy's.
