Tiny Puppy Could Be A Guinness Record Holder
Even at 2 weeks old, Beyoncé could easily fit into the palm of your hand. The pint-sized pup, who perches comfortably on an iPhone, weighs just four ounces.

According to a report from CBS Sacramento, Beyoncé -- named for the singer, who has a tune called "Survivor" -- is one of five Dachshund and Chihuahua puppies born to mom, Casey, who was found pregnant and abandoned.

When Beyoncé was born on March 8, she was abnormally small, had no heartbeat and wasn't breathing. A veterinarian on the scene was able to get her heart started, and Beth DeCaprion, founder of The Grace Foundation, gave the tiny puppy mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Since then, the pup has been bottle-fed every hour and, according to the foundation, is "normal in every other way." Beyoncé is expected to only grow to about 1 ½ pounds.

The foundation is now applying to the Guinness Book of World Records to see if Beyoncé could nab the world's smallest puppy title.
As for the pup's name, DeCaprion said it best: "We wanted to give her a very strong person to aspire to be."

Until about a year ago - I was the proud owner of a 2 1/2 pound poodle. I bought her from a breeder who specialized in tiny dogs. She interviewed me at length before she would agree to sell her to me - and followed up with check-me-out calls. The first dog my mom gave me was tiny (less to clean up after) and I've always loved little dogs. The breeder assured this one would grow to 2 3/4 pounds - but she never made it.

March 26 2012 at 12:12 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply5 years ago I found a beautiful female cat during adoption week at the pet store. My son was looking for one and was thrilled to have her. Long story short, she is the most spoiled and care for cat. Good going Pepper!!!
Thanks God for those who care enough to give an animal a second chance!!!
I have a 1.25 pound chihuahua baby that we found on the side of the street and she is the most loving and protective furbaby ever! When we first got her she wouldn't even let us touch her with our hands we had to wear oven mitts to avoid being bitten, but she is such a joy! I thought she was a baby but she is full grown and had been abused to "keep her small" I wait and pray for the days that our laws catch up to the times and abuse towards animals is given the same punishment as abuse towards children...especially when it comes to crazy breeders and evil people who abandon pregnant dogs! God Bless this foundation...send your money to them!!! Not to 3rd world countries!!! Help our Furbabys!!

Then she would have a very spoiled and leisure life living in Hawaii!!! I bet I have to stand in line along with a zillion more people to adopt her huh?! Can't blame me for trying!
ALOHA from HAWAII...LEHUA!
God Bless those that cared enough.....
