Michele told People Magazine that she saved six stray kittens in the Paramount Studios lot. While she was able to keep two of them, she found homes for the rest with one of them going to "Glee" co-star Heather Morris, who plays Brittany on the show. Additionally, upon seeing a dog chained to a fence during a shoot at a nearby school, she worked with the folks at "Glee" to get the pooch veterinary care and, eventually, a home with another co-star.
Michele gets her inspiration from her family. "My mother always said, 'Stand for something, or [you'll] fall for everything.' I feel like [animals] don't have a voice." Well, anyone who has watched "Glee" or seen Michele on Broadway knows that voice is one thing this woman has in spades. We hope she continues to use it to advocate for animals.

Yeah, aren't you just the little helper. Maybe that's someones pet who is lost. Maybe your boss will see this and you'll get fired and that will help you along to the next stage of your life. I guess you can't work with people since you're a sociopath.
That is scary - this is how serial killer get their start. You are one sick person - do all of us a favor and give yourself the same treatment
Some of us would like to help you along to that next life also!
You are a real piece of work, I agree let's help you along to your next world. I see you are a real animal lover a***************
PatrickPain - I see where you get your name. Anyway, this is one of those really nice articles you get a good feeling from. I've always like this young woman and here's one more to reason praise her.
PatrickPain is a fraud - as a dog catcher, he would not have access to the drugs needed to "put down" an animal - those are highly controlled and only administered under supervision of a licensed vet or vet tech.
God Bless her...we need more compassionate animal people out there. Star power is always a plus.
Lea Michele is very lucky to be recognized for doing something good and honorable. Hollywood types usually have to do some crazy stuff, wreck a car or two, get caught with drugs and go to rehab before they get noticed.
Lea Michele is not a favorite performer of mine, but I AM glad that a young, influential actress is setting a compassionate example to her young fans. She's definitely proving herself a decent role model for the young people who are following her every move. She sounds like a tender-hearted person with a good head on her shoulders. My rescued beagle mix is a valued member of our family, and we hope to adopt a sister for him soon...the hard part is, as always, choosing just one from all the sweet furbabies that need a home...and there are many who would be a great addition to our family. *sigh*
it is a sin to hurt an animal and a blessing to save one.
I think she deserves to be commended. Instead of being a disgrace like Lindsy Lohan she is doing something very important and worth while. I hope lots more people follow her good example.
