pupercise kitThe Shabby Dog

You know the old saying, "If your dog is fat, you're not getting enough exercise"? Well, even if you don't, we do think there's something to it. After all, there's little we love more in the world than working up a sweat on a long walk alongside our best buddy.

This week's Pupercise Kit giveaway could help you and Fido shed some pounds and shape up for summer. The Shabby Dog Pupercise Kit includes a leash attached to a hands-free wristwatch cuff, allowing you not only to keep track of your time, but also makes it easy to hold a water bottle or even a hand weight. It also includes a pedometer so you can see how many steps you actually take on your daily walk, along with a matching, attachable accessories pouch to carry your phone, ID, or doggie doo baggies.

Even better, the kit is totally stylish, available in shiny silver, gold or black. And it could be yours. You just have to enter!

To enter, leave a confirmed comment below telling us where your ideal walk with your dog would take place.

The comment must be left before 5 p.m. ET on Friday, May 28, 2010.

You may enter only once.

One winner will be selected in a random drawing.

One winner will receive a Pupercise Kit from The Shabby Dog in choice of color (valued at $79.95).

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 and older.

I have a Siberian Husky and both myself and the dog don't care for the heat. So our favorite walk would be in either Alaska, would love to see part of the Idaterod trail or in Montana, a little place called Livingston that has a lovely trail that goes alongside the Yellowstone river.

I have two Shiatzu's named Ricky and Lucy. They are brother and sister. We live on a 300 acre Orchard and we go out and walk all the time! This is the best place to walk in the world!

My ideal dog walk would be a nice long walk along a river in the woods sheltering then on either a nice or rainy day, feeling the mud under our feet and the fresh scent of nature. Yes, there is such a place and it is in Eugene, OR. ^_^

I do agree with the long wood/river walk scenario. Ollie and I do enjoy the Florida parks but the heat makes us crave shady spots.

I have two boxers and we would love to go walking at a national state park! We have one here near our home in Florida and when we are done hiking the two love to rest while I let cool water run under their bodies!

The perfect walk would actually be a hike in our national park. Seymour always let's me know when someone is approaching-he is my safety dog!

My 16 mo. old weimaraner, Moose, and I enjoy walking nearby trails at a local College or at one of our state parks. If at the park, then we typically take a break by the dog park where he has been building enough confidence to go into the water.

Everyday I walk with my dogs around the local neighborhood, but sometimes, when the weather is nice, I would drive them out to the nearby lake to walk around the nature trail. Being outdoors makes me and my dogs very happy!

My two puppies and I love to walk around our neighborhood as well as at a local dam. However my ideal walk with them would be up in the Big Horn Mountains exploring areas I loved roaming in as a child.
