Firefighters in the U.K. rescued a pet bull from a pond in Essex last week, according to the BBC. No word on why in the world the 20-year-old bull fell into the pond, but it could not stand up after four fire crews freed it with rescue equipment, so they propped it up with bales of hay. The sickly animal was taken to a shelter overnight and examined by a vet.
Watch the amazing rescue video on the BBC.

How wonderful!! God Bless the people who saved this special pet from drowning. It goes to show that there still is humans who have a heart.
When my 6 month old kitten got stuck up in a tree I of course called the Emergency Service. There was nothing they could do, and my Aspca wouldn't even come to help even though they were in my county, they said that they only served a 10 mile radius. Tree service couldn't help either. I called around to a few different fire departments of course the one in my town wouldn't help, but I go ahold of another one and they said they would, but sense it wasn't in my district they couldn't. Props to Rhinecliff. My cat was stuck a good 50 feet up in a tree over an icy pond. Tried everything to get him down. Finally I convinced my boyfriend to brake out the chainsaw. Sense the tree was leaning in the direction of the pond I figured it would be fairly safe to cut the tree down slowly. I was on the pond while my boyfriend was cutting down the tree. In the end he ended up with 3 broken fingures, cuz another small tree was leaning on the tree he was cutting. I didn't fall through the ice, and the cat had an easy ride down on the tree, till the tree stopped at a good 15 feet off the pond. Then I had to knock him off with a long stick, while he fell spread eagle 15 feet onto the pond. The boyfriend wound up with stitches, and a partically cut off finger, and the cat wound up all safe and a little bit dumber. Thanks to my fire department for all your help, and to the Aspca, you guys really showed that you cared in a time of need. Im just glad that none of us wound up through the ice. It's nice to know that we can call on you when stuck in a situation. No the cat wouldn't have come down.
