Miley Cyrus Shows Off Her New Puppy

You pretty much have to be cute on some level to make it as a star on the Disney Channel. And if degree of cuteness dictates level of success, then Miley Cyrus must be the cutest Disney Channel star of all time. But she's hedging her bets.

Just to keep her cuteness locked down for a little longer, Cyrus -- aka Hannah Montana -- recently was spotted out and about with her adorably fuzzy new puppy in her arms.

His name is Mate, inspired by Cyrus's nickname for her Australian boyfriend. No word yet to confirm the pooch's breed, but really, who cares? The thing is adorable as all getout. Isn't that all we really need to know?

Finally! A star that chooses a DOG, not an ACCESSORY.

And no, I am not saying that Chihuahuas, etc, aren't real dogs, but I would argue that people like Paris Hilton, et al, choose dogs for their accessory potential (which color dog goes best with my skin tone, and which diamond collar would go best with my diamond necklace?) instead of recognizing that they aren't just another piece of jewelery to be "worn" by them.

ah, come on you guys, she is just a kid playing a part on t.v. cut her some slack. she loves her pup and is showing it off and prould to have such a cute puppy, and yes the puppy is sweet.

Please, enough with the hate comments! None of you biased idiots know her personally, or what really happened in these so called "incidents", so stop judging her and give Miley the benefit of the doubt! She may be famous, but she's HUMAN just like the rest of us.
As for her dog, Mate is absolutely adorable, and would make the perfect pet for any teenager.
